Drop Your Shoulders® Methods Mentorship and Leadership Program

About
Drop Your Shoulders® Methods Mentorship and Leadership Program
The Drop Your Shoulders® Methods Mentorship and Leadership Program is designed for individuals who are ready to deepen their understanding of the Drop Your Shoulders® Methods and apply these principles within their own lives, communities, organisations, and professional practice.
This program goes beyond personal growth and self-awareness. It is an opportunity to explore the foundations of emotional safety, nervous system regulation, childhood trauma, energetic boundaries, communication, leadership, and embodied change through a structured and practical learning experience.
Participants are supported to develop a deeper understanding of emotional survival patterns, the impact of trauma on behaviour and relationships, and the practical application of the Drop Your Shoulders® Methods. Through mentorship, education, self-reflection, and experiential learning, participants learn how to lead themselves first before supporting others.
Whether you are seeking personal transformation, professional development, or a pathway to integrate the Drop Your Shoulders® Methods into your work, this program provides practical tools, guidance, and a framework for creating meaningful and lasting change.
Leadership begins with self-awareness. Transformation begins with emotional safety. The journey begins by learning to drop your shoulders.

The Story Behind Drop Your Shoulders®
Drop Your Shoulders® was born from a simple but profound question: Why do so many people continue to repeat patterns they desperately want to change?
For more than 20 years, I have worked with individuals, groups, and organisations, supporting people through personal growth, leadership, emotional wellbeing, and change. Again and again, I witnessed intelligent, capable people becoming trapped in reactions, behaviours, and relationship patterns that did not reflect who they truly were.
At the same time, I was on my own journey of understanding the impact of childhood experiences, emotional survival patterns, and the connection between the body, mind, and nervous system. I realised that insight alone was often not enough. People could understand why they behaved a certain way and still find themselves repeating the same reactions.
This led me to explore practical approaches that worked with the body rather than against it. Over time, these teachings, observations, and lived experiences evolved into the Drop Your Shoulders® Methods.
What began as a simple invitation to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the body grew into a framework for understanding emotional safety, nervous system regulation, childhood trauma, energetic boundaries, communication, and personal responsibility. The methods were designed to help people move beyond awareness and into practical, embodied change.
Today, Drop Your Shoulders® continues to evolve through books, programs, retreats, mentorship, and education. At its heart remains the same mission: to provide practical tools that help people understand themselves more deeply, break patterns that no longer serve them, and create lasting change from the inside out.
Because when the body feels safe, new possibilities become available. Sometimes transformation begins with a single moment, a single breath, and a simple reminder to drop your shoulders.
Project Workflow
1.
Awareness and Understanding
The first stage focuses on developing awareness of emotional survival patterns, nervous system responses, childhood conditioning, and the ways these influence daily life, relationships, and decision-making. Participants begin learning the language and foundations of the Drop Your Shoulders® Methods while building a greater understanding of their own experiences.
Focus Areas: Self-awareness, childhood trauma, emotional patterns, nervous system education, personal reflection.
2.
Emotional Safety and Regulation
Once awareness has been established, the focus shifts towards creating emotional safety within the body. Participants learn practical somatic exercises and regulation techniques designed to reduce reactivity, support nervous system regulation, and develop new emotional reference points.
Focus Areas: Emotional safety, somatic exercises, nervous system regulation, self-responsibility, embodied awareness.
3.
Integration and Practice
Knowledge becomes transformation through consistent practice. Participants begin applying the Drop Your Shoulders® Methods within everyday situations, relationships, communication, boundaries, and personal challenges. This stage focuses on creating sustainable behavioural and emotional change.
Focus Areas: Communication, boundaries, relationships, emotional responsibility, practical application.
4.
Leadership and Embodied Change
The final stage focuses on leading from a place of awareness, emotional safety, and personal responsibility. Participants deepen their understanding of the methods while learning how to embody the principles in their personal lives, workplaces, communities, and leadership roles.
